CAN THE RETREAT DATES BE TRULY ADJUSTED TO MY TRAVEL?

Yes, absolutely. Because this retreat is designed for for you, there is flexibility to adjust the exact dates to match your travel schedule.

That said, there are a few conditions:

  • Early coordination is essential: the sooner you share your flight options, the easier it is to align.
  • Adjustments are possible within the limits of my physical and logistical availability
  • The retreat must still follow its 10-day or 6-day arc

This flexibility is one of the multiple benefits of a personalized retreat: the experience is all designed for you.

DO I NEED A VISA?

Most visitors from the US, Canada, and Europe do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days.

Onward ticket: proof of onward or return travel is required by immigration.

WHAT TIPS SHOULD I KNOW AS A VISITOR IN PLAYA NEGRA?

  • Always greet locals with a smile and a warm “Buenos días” or “Buenas tardes.”
  • Casual dress is fine, but overly revealing clothing is not well seen in the village.
  • Carry a flashlight after 6 pm — the forest gets very dark, and it helps avoid nocturnal animals like horses or reptiles (harmless if not disturbed).
  • Water is precious, especially in the dry season — please use it mindfully.
  • Important: Collecting seashells is forbidden and punishable by law in Costa Rica. The same applies to bringing back plants, animals, or other living products. Please help protect the ecosystem.
